How we do it

Initial conversation

We begin with a no obligation chat to see if working with a barrister on a Direct Access basis is right for your case. If your matter is too complex or urgent, we will be honest and may suggest alternative options.

Our work together

If we agree to work together, we will identify potential barristers who would suit your case and help you to instruct them or we would work alongside your current Direct Access barrister. Your barrister will represent you at court hearings and provide strategic legal advice from time to time, while you will handle the day to day running of your case.

We only work with specialist, highly regarded barristers from chambers that we know and trust. We do not accept any payment for referrals we make to other professionals, nor do we pay anything for referrals that we receive. Our referrals and recommendations are made solely on the basis of the high standards that we expect for our clients.  We are also able to refer you to other professionals that you may need, such a therapists or financial advisors.

“Through the dark, dark times you have steered me with confidence and consideration to a place of peace and closure”

– Mrs. N

Day to day support

We can provide as much or as little support as you need. We do not give legal advice – this is the remit of your Direct Access barrister. We are here so that you are not alone in juggling forms, statements, deadlines, and correspondence.

We can help with:

We approach your case with empathy and objectivity. You are our client and we are paid by no one else, which means we are completely impartial in guiding you.

Trauma-Informed Support

Trauma can affect every part of your separation journey, from decision-making to how you’re perceived in the family justice system. Our approach keeps trauma in mind, helping you stay within your window of tolerance and supporting better outcomes.
