Representing yourself in the Family Court? Unsure where to turn?
We are your professional friend in the Family Court.
Our steady guidance keeps you organised and supported, every step of the way.
We can help you access legal advice in the most affordable and effective way when you need it.
Family Law can feel like an endless puzzle—tight deadlines, legal jargon, and big bills. It is easy to worry you are doing it all wrong or sinking precious time and money into a system you barely understand.
Amico Direct Access understands. We are here to show you how to take control. Co-founded by a former solicitor and former barrister, our experience of the Family Court has taught us one truth: people need both technical know-how and empathetic, practical help.

What we do
Amico Direct Access supports individuals who want or need to handle some or all of their Family Court case themselves, without facing every challenge alone.
We understand that while you may not have a solicitor advising you day to day you may wish to take advice from time to time and be represented at court hearings. We are Divorce Consultants who support clients to use the services of a barrister on a Direct Access (or Public Access basis) without instructing a solicitor.
If your case is suitable to work in this way, we will help you choose a barrister who is well suited to your needs and stay close by for day to day tasks that can feel heavy when you are on your own. Think of us as a practical, reassuring presence – keeping you from feeling lost in paperwork or stressed by deadlines.

How we do it
1. Listen and check suitability
2. Organise and strategise
3. Support and reassure
“Hannah and Laura are the dream team”
“When you are representing yourself Hannah is your fairy godmother.”
“You have to ring this woman. Laura will guide you through it, it’s a no brainer. She’s like the oracle”
We would be delighted to discuss working together with you.
